Membership renewal / Fall meeting Sept. 24

Memberships now? August and just like that it’s time to think about Nordic ski racing 2023-24. After all, fast racers are made during the summer. If you’re a serious racer, you already have a training plan that includes roller skiing, hill bounding, speed hiking, weight training, and specific activities that are just plain summer fun.

Is your name in the “Who’s Registered?” as a current member? If not, just go to NYSSRA Nordic Membership 2023-24 on SkiReg to join or renew.

Please know that your membership matters for NYSSRA Nordic to continue advancing our mission of developing training and racing opportunities in the state through clubs. Your membership helps pay for annual liability insurance for sanctioned events, fees for required background checks for volunteer coaches, racer development grants, the BKYSL Festival, and end of season NYSSRA Nordic Ski Championship weekend.

Also, included on the Membership SkiReg page is the opportunity to donate to dedicated funds for Jim and Betty Schreiner Biathlon Scholarship, Support NYSSRA Nordic General, and Junior Development. Please consider making a donation to one of these funds. NYSSRA Nordic, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt organization under IRS code. Donations are 100% tax-deductible contributions.

Lastly, mark your calendar now and plan to attend the in-person Fall Meeting at noon on Sunday, September 24 at Lapland Lake, Benson, NY. An agenda will be posted soon.
