The Event begins with Friday night’s 2.5k freestyle Prologue at Dewey Mountain in Saranac Lake. Bib pickup begins at 6pm Race starts at 7:00pm with awards to follow. top 8 men and top 8 women will be named to compete in Saturday’s Sprint Finals.
Saturdays 20k classic(actually 18k) will be 3 x 6k course out of the biathlon Stadium. U14/U16 – 6k. Start and finish under the bridge behind the biathlon building. 12 noon bib pickup 1pm start
NOTE CHANGE: Sprint championships (freestyle) have been moved to the Cross Country Stadium at Mount Van Hoevenberg. They will take place Saturday at 4pm on a short course at the edge of the parking lot. Sprints will begin at 4pm so try to be there and ready by 3:30-3:45. the 8 men and 8 women will be selected at Fridays race. if anyone from the top 8 cannot compete the next highest placed skier will be selected (no age classes)
Sundays 7.5k freestyle will be a 2 x 3.75k course out of the Biathlon Stadium. U14/U16 – 3.75k. Start and finish under the bridge behind the biathlon building. 12 noon bib pickup 1pm start.
