President Darwin Roosa receives banner from outgoing President Jim Kobak at the September 26 fall meeting in Utica. The banner will be used at the Nov. 20-21 Winter Expo in Saratoga Springs and other events during the Nordic racing season.
We’re all thinking about the racing season ahead and always willing to share our enthusiasm to promote Nordic ski racing wherever there is a crowd. So, invite your friends to come see NYSSRA Nordic at the third annual Adirondack Sports & Fitness Winter Expo on Saturday, November 20 from 10am-6pm and Sunday, November 21 from 10am-5pm at the Saratoga City Center, Saratoga Springs. Admission is FREE! The expo will include 80 exhibitors, demos, sales, clinics and family activities.
The NYSSRA Nordic table booth will feature World Cup videos, ski waxing demos and clinics, classical and skate skis, roller skis, a biathlon target and rifle, ski-orienteering and other Nordic racing equipment. Members from area NYSSRA Nordic sanctioned clubs will be available to discuss ski training, getting kids involved with Bill Koch Youth Ski League programs, how to select racing equipment, waxing questions, and the benefits of joining NYSSRA Nordic and a local racing club.
Free public parking in downtown Saratoga Springs is available for attendees.
