Saturday night features the annual NYSSRA awards banquet.  At the banquet skiers will be recognized for achievements over the course of the NYSSRA ski season.  And, age-group point series champions will receive their prizes in the “quest for the vest.”  Remember, to be eligible for end-of-the-season awards skiers must complete the Champions Cup race.  Awards for the season are given to the male and female points series leaders in age classes J3 through M10.  The Champions Cup race is a double points race.  As of this post, there are 30 skiers registered, including powerhouse skiers from Rochester Nordic Racing, Glenville Hills Nordic, Peru Nordic Masters, Shenendehowa Nordic Club, Saratoga Biathlon, Paul Smiths College and Team HURT. Make sure you are a part of the action:  Don’t Delay, register now!

Glenville Hills’ Eric Seyse looks to cement his overall points series championship and his third consecutive senior men’s title.  But there are some interesting age-class battles brewing that will be settled on Saturday.

Last year’s NY State Champion, Kevin Sprague, is racing at Harvard University.  That leaves a huge opening for the 2010 NY State Championship.  Could the 2007 champ and tw0-time runner up, Paul Allison break through again and capture his second state title?  Or, will a new champion emerge?

On Sunday, the Club Championship Series concludes with the Championship Relay.  Team HURT has all but locked up the overall title, and has most likely won the Club Championship Banner, but bragging rights are on the line as the top dogs from Rochester Nordic Racing, Peru Nordic Masters and Saratoga Biathlon look to unseat the champs in the relay.

Don’t miss the action: REGISTER NOW!!!!!
