Age Categories
NYSSRA will adopt the “U” age class system utilized by USSA. The ‘U’ or ‘Under’ replacing the ‘J’ system for our competitive junior age groups. Age categories remain in two year increments, and the classifications are the same, only the title changes. For example, 18-19 year olds are now U20 (formerly OJ), 16-17 year olds are U18 (formerly J1), and so on. Your Age Group is defined by your age as of January 1st of the current race season.
