Early NYSSRA-Nordic Membership Sign-up and Club Sanctioning

The NYSSRA-Nordic (N-N) registration page on SkiReg.com is up and running for the 2024-2025
season, so you can go ahead and sign up for the upcoming season. Although the actual racing
season is months away, your early registration and club sanctioning can help with N-N’s cash
flow. Even though the skiing stops, the expenses do not. Our largest summer expense was our
annual liability insurance premium—nearly $5,100.

When you register for your N-N membership on SkiReg, select your membership type. Also you
will see that there are donation boxes for four worthy funds:
 Osceola Range Building Fund—this is new and was established for Syracuse Biathlon
and Polar Bear Biathlon to replace the aging range building at Osceola Ski and Sport.
 Jim and Betty Schreiner Scholarship Fund.
 Support NYSSRA-Nordic—these donations go to the N-N general fund.
 NYSSRA-Nordic Junior Development Fund.

Complete fund descriptions can be seen on the N-N SkiReg page. You can easily make
donations to these funds while renewing your N-N membership, or you can just donate to any or
all funds without membership registration. You can also make donations to these funds by
sending a check, payable to NYSSRA-Nordic, Inc., to Treasurer Jack Rueckheim, 487
Ringwood Road, Freeville, NY 13068. The check must specify the appropriate fund. In the
case of large donations, this is the way to go since SkiReg will charge you a percentage of the
donation amount.
