Summer is here and the 2022-23 ski racing season is underway! It’s time for clubs to renew their annual (July 1st to July 1st) sanctioning as a NYSSRA Nordic Sanctioned Club. This is especially important for the liability coverage clubs receive from NYSSRA Nordic for their training events, clinics, development camps, race events, and other activities.
The club sanctioning registration/renewal process can be completed online HERE or by postal mail with the printed Club Sanctioning Agreement paper form. Checks for the $45.00 club sanctioning fee, payable to NYSSRA Nordic, Inc., should be sent to Ed Luban, 701 DeMong Drive, Syracuse, NY 13214.
Note: The NYSSRA Nordic sanctioning of race events is a separate and additional process for organizers with sanctioning forms in the NYSSRA Nordic Forms folder.
As for NYSSRA Nordic Membership, it’s time to join/renew for 2022-23 at SkiReg at the individual, juniors and youth, or family level. New is the requirement that all NYSSRA Nordic coaches & volunteers be registered members. If the individual is not already a member and is not an active participant in NYSSRA Nordic events, they are eligible to join as a coach/volunteer at a reduced membership rate for their coverage under NYSSRA Nordic policy.
