There is no need to be envious of our Juniors heading to beautiful Anchorage, Alaska for the 2019 US Junior National XC Championships. Equally, don’t be jealous of the handful of NYSSRA Nordic Masters that are competing in Beitostolen, Norway, the cradle of Nordic skiing, at the 2019 Masters World Cup races.
Why? Because we still have some great ski racing at home in New York during March and perhaps April. For instance:
- March 9-10 Mid-Atlantic BKYSL Festival at Brookhaven Golf Course, Porter Corners, NY hosted by HURT.
- March 9 Biathlon at Osceola Ski Touring Center hosted by Syracuse Biathlon Club and March 10 Biathlon at Old Forge hosted by Polar Bear Biathlon Club.
Saratoga Biathlon will likely schedule spring cross country and biathlon races.
Watch for postings of other clubs hosting spring fun races. Or, you can search the web for races in New England.
