The race season is off to a great start. 45 racers showed up to brave the ladies 5 K with fast moist conditions. This years route was somewhat steep, and offered skiers a sample of trail often featured in JO qualifiers, Division 1 carnival races, The Loppet, NY State championships, and The NYSSRA Nordic State Championship.
Results can be seen here. Congratulations to Winners: Paul Allison 10K Men, Kate Mulcahy 10K Women, Scott Schulz 5K U16 Boys, and Jackie Garso 5K U16 Girls,
Alison came out on top of a tight men’s race with only 6 seconds separating the top 4!
Schulz had a closer race with the podium separated by only 1 second.
Mulcahy, and Garso had wider margins of victory.
NYSEF and SLU skiers dominated the top spots in while the NYSEF, Peru Nordic, and HURT Nordic came out en masse to score point s for their clubs.
