The February 6-9, 2014 Empire State Winter Games are fast approaching. Nordic events will make up a large portion of the 19 winter sports scheduled this year. Activities get underway with the evening Opening Ceremonies on Thursday, February 6. Be sure to check the Games website for the complete schedule of events including the location and times for athlete check-in.
See the event and schedule tabs of this website for information specific to the NYSSRA Nordic organized sports for the Games — cross country skiing (ESWG Tour-Nado), biathlon and ski-orienteering. The Empire State Weekend also serves as the fourth Wilkinson Cup series weekend of the 2014 winter season.
Athletes must pre-register for events by going to the Games online Athlete Registration system.
Reminder: Overnight accommodations in the Lake Placid Region fill quickly during the Games weekend. Athletes, families, and spectators should book their stay as early as possible.
