As of tonight both Dewey Mountain and Mt Van Hoevenberg are planning on hosting the cross country races this weekend. Some snow has fallen and a whole lot more is forcasted from Thursday evening through Friday.
Should there not be enough snow at Van Hoevenberg – The Backup site will be the 1k loop at the Ski Jumps. In the event that the races have to be moved, the 20k distance would have to be changed to something shorter such as 7k and the mass start would most likely have to be changed to an individual start.
The current race schedule
Friday Feb 8 at Dewey Mountain Cross Country Center in Saranac Lake
- 6pm bib pickup
- 7pm 2.5k freestyle start
- awards to follow
Saturday Feb 9 at Mt Van Hoevenberg Biathlon Center
- 12 noon bib pickup
- 1pm J2/J3 5k classical mass start
- 1:10 Men 20k Start
- 1:20 Women 20k Start
- 1:30 approx Adaptive start
Sunday Feb 10, at Mt Van Hoevenberg
- 12 noon bib pickup
- 1pm J2/J3 5k freestyle individual starts
- followed by Men 7.5k
- followed by women 7.5k
