Glenville Hills’ Eric Seyse skied a strong 50 k classic Lake Placid Loppet on Saturday, and then managed to fight through a foot of new snow to win Sunday’s Dewey Mt 5k freestyle in Saranac Lake. Seyse continues to lead the NYSSRA points series which wraps up with the NYSSRA Championships on March 12. Seyse leads HURT Nordic’s Tim Huneck and Peru Nordic’s Jerry Curcio for the overall title. There are only a few races left on the schedule before the overall champion will be crowned in Lake Placid. This weekend features the Tug Hill Try-it and the HURTathon. Look for Seyse, Huneck and Curcio to battle at each of these races.
HURT Nordic still leads the Club Championship Series. They look to capture their second consecutive Club Championship banner, which will be awarded after the Club Championship Relays in Lake Placid on March 13.
