The 2021 Glenville Hills Classic went off without a hitch this Saturday. An excuse for skiers to venture out and share a day with the sport we all love. Tracks were medium firm, rather fast for the temperature. The course consisted of 2 5k laps (with a 1K cut off for 6 K skiers. The race began in the low teams. It was balmy compared to 2 weeks before, but still Balaclava weather.

Temps climbed to the low 20’s as the day progressed and the BKYSl racer and citizens hit the trail. Eric Seyse can chalk his victory up to Home course advantage. Doug Diehl Caught Bronze Medalist Brian Northan for nearly photo finish. Jessica Northan took the top spot for women once again- The Northans deserve extra Kudos for strong efforts so soon after their 50K Tourathons.

It was a family affair in the Citizen Race with Erin Turnock taking Gold ahead of Her husband Jo taking Silver, and Her dad Jim Flaherty earning bronze.

Results are up in our results section and posted on Webscorer.

Glenville Hills Classic BKYSL & Citizen

Sign up for NYSSRA champs, and keep you eye on the calendar. if the weather and pandemic permit. some spring races will pop up on our calendar.
