Weekend nordic racing continued this past weekend in North Creek (At Garnet Hill Ski Lodge) and in Old Forge (McCauley Mountain) as new NYSSRA club Adirondack Vauhti hosted their first annual “dualthlon” and the Polar Bear Ski Club played host for their freestyle race. The Vauhti 8K/8K classic/skate format was fun fast and exciting for all participants and spectators. Results of the event can be found here: ADKVauhti. Despite the warming temps the Old Forge freestyle was another great success from our friend at the Polar Bear Ski Club. Results will be coming soon.
We hope you are excited for the predicted snowfall midweek and the great weekend of Empire State Games racing up in Lake Placid. The Tour-nado features a Friday sprint, Saturday 20K freestyle, special Saturday night sprint exhibition, and Sunday 7.5K classic race. And don’t forget about the Ski-O and Biathlon races too! It has a little something for everyone and we hope you can come out for a lot of great racing!
