Lots of post high school, after college, and older adult Nordic ski racers started competing through NYSSRA-Nordic organized events. Many of them climbed the BKYSL program ladder. It’s especially satisfying to receive expressions of thanks from these individuals and their families.
Some appreciative racers even ask: What can I do to give something back to NYSSRA-Nordic?
Answer: Consider volunteering for a range of helpful jobs that can make a difference to our ski racing community.
- Fill an officer position for 2026-2028 (two-year term on the Board).
- Serve on a committee (Cross Country Skiing, Junior Cross Country Ski Racing, NY Biathlon, Ski Orienteering, Website & other communications, and Bill Koch Youth Ski League).
- Write content for our Face Book page and website blog.
- Start up an Instagram photo & video sharing network.
- Write a post-race article or submit racing action photos for NYSSRA-Nordic’s e-newsletter.
