Cookies!!!!<\/div>\n<div>A NYSSRA Nordic sanctioned race\u2026 Part of the NYSSRA Points Series.<\/div>\n<div>All Proceeds go towards Dewey Mt Recreation Association and the Cystic Fibrosis Lifestyle Foundation.<\/div>\n<p>In spite of lackluster snow conditions this winter, the Cookie Classic is set to take place this Saturday, February 25 at Dewey Mountain in Saranac Lake, NY. \u00a0The race course is in good condition, and the forecast is somewhat favorable, however because it would be hard to set a quality track throughout the course, the Race Organizers have decided to change the format to a\u00a0<strong>freestyle<\/strong> race.<\/p>\n<p>The race will be a true 10 k, with skiers tackling four laps of the standard Dewey 2.5 km race course. \u00a0The first wave starts at 10 am, registration and bib pick-up at 9 am.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cfun ski race\u201d will be close to 5 km and will consist of three laps of a shortened version of the course, avoiding the big hill climb and descent. \u00a0The fun ski race starts at 11 am, \u00a0registration starts at 9 am.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skireg.com\/Net\/3284\" target=\"_blank\">Registration <\/a>is open through 11:45 pm Thursday. \u00a0Fees are $15 for the NYSSRA Race, $10 for the \u201cfun ski race.\u201d \u00a0 There is a pre-register\/pay at event option available on the online registration page. \u00a0All pre-registered racers are guaranteed a commemorative \u201cCookie Classic\u201d Coffee mug (which, by the way would be great to fill up with Burkerbeiner Coffee from the folks at Adirondack Bean-to Coffees). \u00a0There is day-of registration, so even if you decide to race at the last minute, you are more than welcome to participate in the COOKIE CLASSIC!!!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cookie Classic Update: Format Changed to 10 km\u00a0Freestyle 10 Km\u00a0FREESTYLE\u2026 Wave Start\u2026 Cookies!
