Registration is now open for this year’s festival to be held at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine.\u00a0 <\/a>Deadline for your skier’s name to be in the program is February 12th. Online Registration closes February 19th.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Note to Parents of \u00a0NYSSRA BKer’s<\/strong><\/span> planning on attending. \u00a0Margaret Maher and \u00a0NYSEF will be traveling to The festival. \u00a0Margaret will be acting as the NY District Chair. \u00a0 She will attend the Pre Race Meeting and pick up all the bibs and race packets for NY. \u00a0Look for Margaret at the NYSEF waxing tent Saturday morning when you get there to get your bibs. \u00a0Travel and accommodations are on your own. \u00a0to contact Margaret margm@nysef.org <\/span><\/p>\n

A few notes to communicate to club leaders about this year’s registration…<\/div>\n
1. \u00a0The new ‘age class by grade’ system is in place.<\/div>\n
2. \u00a0Grade 1 & 2 is a new age class (J6). \u00a0This age class is considered a transition class. \u00a0There will be an individual event and a relay offered. \u00a0The relay will be a combination of B\/B, G\/G, or B\/G… left to the DCs to put together. \u00a0The events of this age class will not be timed, nor will they receive the traditional medal and place ribbon awards. \u00a0Rather, they will receive a special transition type award… more info to follow on this. \u00a0The most important message is “LOW KEY”.<\/div>\n
3. \u00a0A child,\u00a0Grade 2 and Younge<\/strong><\/span><\/span>r, can choose to enter the Lollipop event. \u00a0Just b\/c a child is in grade 1\/2, does not mean that they need to enter the Grade 1\/2 age category. \u00a0The child can only select one category to enter for the weekend, though.<\/div>\n
4. \u00a0in past years, we allowed Lollipoppers to age up to J5. \u00a0Due to the implementation of Grade 1\/2 age class, we will not allow any child to “age up.”<\/div>\n
