\u00a0 Skiers do not have to compete in all three events to be eligible for The overall award, but they must compete in Sundays final race. \u00a0The sum of any and all NYSSRA points scored during this weekend celebration of ski racing will be used to determine overall awards. \u00a0Of course, the more events one completes, the greater the chance of becoming a <b>NYSSRA Nordic\/ESWG TourNADO Champion!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Deadline for registering:<\/b>\u00a0midnight Wednesday \u00a0Feb 1, 2023.\u00a0 There will be no day of registrations.<\/p>\n<p><b>Friday Feb. 3, 2023:<\/b> <b>ESWG TourNADO<\/b>\u00a02.5k freestyle Prologue:\u00a0 Scheduled to be held under the lights at Dewey Mountain Recreation Center in the Town of Saranac Lake, NY.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6:00 PM Bib Pickup<\/li>\n<li>6:30 PM (U10\/U12) Dual start<\/li>\n<li>7:00 PM U14 and older Dual Starts<\/li>\n<li>Awards immediately following<\/li>\n<li>Top 8 Men and Women named for Saturdays sprint championships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><b>Saturday Feb. 4, 2023<\/b>:<\/b>.\u00a0 20 km<strong> Freestyle<\/strong> For all U23 and older (20 years or older as of Dec 31, 2022), 10km Freestyle U18\/U20(16-19 years old as of Dec31,2022), 5 km <strong>Freestyle<\/strong> for U10\/U12\/U14\/U16(8-15 years old as of Dec 31,2022).\u00a0 This race is scheduled to be held at Mt Van Hoevenberg Events Stadium.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>12 Noon Bib Pickup<\/li>\n<li>1:00 PM \u00a0Mass Start by distance (20k, 10k, 5k)<\/li>\n<li>Awards to follow Approx 3:30-3:45 behind the xc lodge at the awards podium<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Saturday Feb. 4, 2023: <\/strong>A short approx. \u00a0<strong>200 meter Freestyle Sprint Finals<\/strong> at <strong>4pm Mt Van Hoevenberg Events Stadium<\/strong>.\u00a0 Skiers qualify at Friday nights prologue at Dewey Mountain.\u00a0 Top 8 men and top 8 women (overall based on times &#8211; no age classes) will qualify to compete in this event.\u00a0 <strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Since it is important that the qualified skiers show up to compete in the sprint finals, Selected skiers will be asked to confirm their participation following the awards at Friday nights prologue.\u00a0 Spots vacated by the top 8 will be awarded to the next skiers based on time.<strong>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3:45 pm sign in<\/li>\n<li>4:00 pm XC Sprint championship start\n<ul>\n<li>Men&#8217;s semi-final 1 (4 skiers top 2 advance)<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s semi-final 1 (4 skiers top 2 advance)<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s semi-final 2 (4 skiers top 2 advance)<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s semi-final 2 (4 skiers top 2 advance)<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s final<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s final<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Awards \u00a0to follow at the finish line of the sprints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Sunday Feb. 5, 2023:<\/b> <b>ESWG<\/b> <b>TourNADO<\/b> Championship Finale:\u00a0 A <strong>7.5 km<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Classical<\/strong>\u00a0U18 and Older, 5 km <b>Classical<\/b>(U14\/U16), \u00a02.5k Classical(U10\/U12) .\u00a0 This race is scheduled to be held at Mount Van Hoevenberg Events Stadium and will be used as the Tour finale.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>12 Noon Bib Pickup<\/li>\n<li>12:30 PM 2.5k (U10\/U12) interval start<\/li>\n<li>1:00 PM 5k (U14\/U16) Interval Start<\/li>\n<li>1:30 PM 7.5k(U18 and older) Interval Start<\/li>\n<li>Awards to follow approx 3pm at the awards podium<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>NYSSRA Nordic\/ESWG<\/b> <b>TourNADO<\/b> Champions:\u00a0 The top Male and Female Skier From each USSA defined age division who compete in the <b>TourNADO<\/b> events will be eligible for an additional ESWG medal as Tour Champion.\u00a0 Skiers will have their \u00a0points totaled for each of the three events, cumulative total will decide the Tour Champion in each age division.<\/p>\n<p><b>Registration:<\/b> for the <b>NYSSRA Nordic\/ESWG TourNADO<\/b> is available at the Empire State Winter Games web site.\u00a0 One price and one registration covers all three cross country skiing races. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.empirestatewintergames.com\">www.empirestatewintergames.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Deadline for registering:<\/b>\u00a0midnight Wednesday \u00a0Feb 1, 2023.\u00a0 There will be no day of registrations.<\/p>\n<p><b>Awards:<\/b> ESWG Medals will be awarded for both male and female in all USSA Age divisions beginning with U10 (age 8 as of Dec 31, 2022.
