We are off to the races. Paul and the crew at Gore worked well with mother nature to put on our first weekend of racing. Falling snow over klister conditions makes for tricky waxing – and no one likes to double pole the whole gore course…. So multiple skiers found out the hard way that great kick up a hill can translate to jogging back down the other side. Congrats to Bayerbach and Ralyea on Saturday, and Sunday.

Up for this weekend NYSSRA has 2 options for the NYSSRA Nordic points series:

Natural snow is on tap for the race Saturday in glenville 10K skate– spaced out interval start.- if kids want to race the BKYSL distance (1 KM freestyle) is available once the main race is done. Sunday there is a classic again at gore waxing should be less tricky this time with cool temps overnight, blue hardwax should be less draggy than red klister.-

Come out and ski this weekend- and return to Gore next weekend for the JNQ races.
