NY Biathlon Championships are on for Osceola this weekend. The low temps and wind made shootign quite a challenge. Gary Brackett (8)Tom Moffet (7) Eli Walker (5), and Eric Seyse (5) all finished in a very tight group around 25 minutes. With the temperatures dropping and snow in the forecast it looks like we can mix some on snow skiing in with our roller skiing.

U16 races are underway in Maine: Alex Fragomeini had 2 top 10 finishes so far: 15th in the classic, and 20th in the skate.

Eastern high school championships are up next: keep up to date here:

Friday’s classic race was quite a challenge. With the weather cooling off tracks are firmer but doing several laps at the jumps is not everyone’s cup of tea. Add some fresh falling snow to klister conditions and you have an interesting day.

Go Mid-A

Lucy Hochschartner, Karl Schulz, and state distance champ Henry McGrew all pulled off top 10 performances! Nice Work!

We have an update from Our Vice President racing abroad:

-Been training in Oslo since Wed. on the Homenkollen trails. Great snow & workouts. Taking a break Sat. to spectate at the World Cup men’s 50K. Coach Parks & I will wear red white blue face paint for USA cheering on the course. Good luck NY biathletes this weekend at the Champs !

Good luck to our other Masters racers competing in Biathlon and XC races Abroad.

If you want to compete in or watch Ski-O championships it looks like there will be adequate snow this coming weekend!
